Lindum Team Spirit

Preparing early this year!

We are looking for members who would like to be considered to be in the team for the Lindum Team Spirit at the end of July.

The team ride will take place on Thursday 22nd July from Market Rasen racecourse and each horse and rider will be expected to do 40km.  If you require any further details please contact juliemartin140@tiscali.co.uk

ANNUAL AWARD DINNER AND PRESENTATION

Was held at Thorncroft Manor on Saturday 16th Janurary 2010 attended by around 40 members of the group and their families.  The awards were presented by Amanda from WATERboy.

 OSSIE HARE MEMORIAL TROPHY - Donated by Mrs Wendy Longbottom
Horse/rider combination accumulating most points in the highest distance ER over the season. In the event of a tie the lowest finishing heart rate to count. The winner of this trophy will win the entry fee to the value of a short distance E.R. (non FEI) in the year following the trophy presentation. Proof of presentation to the vet at the start of the ride will be required (e.g. vet sheet).

Awarded to a horse/rider combination that is not eligible for the above breed trophies, accumulating the most points in rides of less than 50k.   The horse must be 15hh or over.  Best six rides to count (competitive and non-competitive).  One of the six rides must be a ride organised by the West Riding Group.

WEST RIDING CHALLENGE TROPHY

 The West Riding Group challenges neighbouring groups. Each group will nominate a team of four riders made up of 2 x adv/int. 1 x YR/Jun and 1 x  Novice. At the end of the season the challenged group’s trophy secretary will add up the points gained at nominated rides and extract the best of the above to form their team.

This year West Riding challenged Cheshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire and North Yorkshire.

 The winner for 2009 is the team from Cheshire:

First Ride of 2010

PLEASE NOTE THIS RIDE IS NOW POSTPONED UNTIL 14TH FEBRUARY DUE TO ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS

If you have any queries pleas contact ride organiser on number below.

Come and join the West Riding Group for their first ride of the season at Nostell Priory.

The route will be over private land not normally available to riders. 

Non-members are always welcome at our rides.

There will be a short ride of 10 miles(16km) and for those wanting a longer ride there will be one of 15 miles (24km).

The AGM and Awards Dinner of EnduranceGB was held on Saturday 28th November 2009 at Yew Hotel.

West Riding member Jeni Gilbert was voted on to the Management Committee.
